Old Fashioned Potato Candy

Although many of us associate this rolling candy with the holiday season, we understand that it may appear strange to those who aren’t. Just potatoes? As a sweet? It is understood. Still, we guarantee its efficacy.

Except for its role as a binder in the dough, the potato flavor is completely absent from the finished product. It’s brilliantly simple: a no-bake candy that’s soft and delicious (quite sweet, actually).

Traditional Potato Candies Recipe
6 cups of sugar, plus more to taste
1/2 cup mashed and cooled russet potato (equivalent to approximately 1 big potato)
peanut butter, creamy 1/3 cup
1/4 cup of milk
1/8 teaspoon of vanillin
half a teaspoon of salt
