- Add Vegetables and Broth:
To the crockpot, add the carrots, celery, onion, mushrooms, beef base, water, garlic, and bay leaf.
- Cook:
- Set the crockpot to high heat and cook for 1 hour.
- Add the pearl barley and reduce the heat to low. Continue cooking until the beef and vegetables are tender.
- Season and Serve:
Remove the bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and enjoy!
