1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess grease.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is tender.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the condensed cheddar cheese soup and milk until well combined.
4. Add the cooked ground beef mixture, crumbled bacon, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the mixing bowl. Stir until everything is evenly combined.
5. Spread half of the frozen tater tots in the bottom of your slow cooker.
6. Pour the beef and cheese mixture over the tater tots, spreading it out evenly.
7. Top the mixture with the remaining tater tots.
8. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
9. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the casserole is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
10. Serve hot, garnished with chopped pickles if desired, and don’t forget the ketchup and mustard on the side for that true cheeseburger experience.
