  • 1 cup beef broth 
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar 
  • Crushed garlic and chili flakes, if desired 

Instructions 

  1. Step 1: Arrange the chops, onion, and tomato slices in a slow cooker. (Recommended but not required: Always sear the chops before placing them in the slow cooker for maximum flavor.) 
  1. Step 2: In a separate bowl, combine the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown vinegar, beef stock, brown sugar, crushed garlic (if preferred), and chili flakes (if desired). 
  1. Step 3: Pour the sauce mixture over the chops, onion, and tomato in the slow cooker. 
  1. Step 4: Cook on high for about three hours for tender chops. (Note: Slow cookers vary in cooking time.) 
  1. Step 5: To thicken the sauce, make a slurry of cornstarch and cold water. Set aside for 30 minutes before serving. Stir the slurry into the slow cooker and simmer for another 30 minutes.
