Place butter pats over sweet potatoes & get a yummy side dish

1. Begin by preparing your sweet potatoes. Peel them and slice them into rounds that are about 1/2-inch thick for even cooking and optimal glazing.
2. Arrange a layer of the sweet potato slices in the bottom of the slow cooker.
3. Sprinkle some of the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt over the first layer, then dot with a few pats of butter.
4. Continue layering the sweet potato slices with the brown sugar, spices, and butter until all the sweet potato slices are neatly stacked.
5. Pour the water into the bottom of the slow cooker. This will help create a delicious glaze as the sweet potatoes cook.
6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for about 4 to 5 hours, or until the sweet potatoes are tender.
7. Once the sweet potatoes are cooked, gently stir to coat the slices in the glaze that has formed at the bottom of the slow cooker.
8. Serve hot, spooning some of the glaze from the slow cooker over the top for extra flavor and shine. Enjoy your fragrant and delightful sweet potato dish that’s been cooked to perfection with minimal effort.
