Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
Add the onion and garlic to the skillet with the beef, and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes, and cook for another 2-3 minutes so the flavors meld together.
Add the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes until it slightly thickens.
Gently fold in the cooked egg noodles, making sure they’re well coated with the sauce.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a leaner option, you can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef. If you prefer more vegetables, consider adding bell peppers, mushrooms, or snap peas to the skillet when you cook the onions. For an extra kick, top with a drizzle of sriracha or serve with a side of kimchi for a tangy, spicy complement.
