Fill mason jars with your favorite chocolate chips and put in slow cooker. A few hrs later, end up with a tasty treat

My grandmother taught me how to melt chocolate using a double boiler. This is the method of simmering water in a pan and placing a metal bowl on top to gently melt the chocolate inside the bowl. In the recipe below, we get that same great result without any of the extra work!
Using this method allows you to melt multiple types of chocolate at once and keeps them all at the perfect consistency, as long as you keep them in the slow cooker. It’s perfect for candy and for dipping. The kids will love it and so will you because there are no messy bowls to clean. When you’re done, just throw a lid on the mason jars after they’ve cooled, and they’re all set for the next time you need to melt chocolate.
