Ingredients

1/4 cup milk
For the Gravy:
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth for a lighter version)
1/2 cup heavy cream (optional, for a creamy gravy)
Salt and pepper to taste
